Desert Patriot Camp & Carry - September 27th - 28th
Desert Patriot Camp & Carry - September 27th - 28th
This event will be the first of its kind for Desert Patriot Training. This event is limited to 12 spots located in Dragoon, AZ. Dragoon is located in Cochise County approximately 17 miles northeast of Benson and 57 miles southeast of Tucson. The Dragoon Mountains are a distinctive small range with the highest peak at 7,519 feet. The name originates from the 3rd U.S. Cavalry Dragoons who battled in the area. They established posts around 1856. The Chiricahua Apaches had roamed this area traditionally. Apache Warrior Chief Cochise, in particular, is known for holding camp here. Also, his final hidden resting place. Many events of Old West historical note occurred in these boulderous ridges. One glaring was slaughters at the Dragoon Springs Butterfield Stage Station. A marker tells its story.
